Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good attended the 2024 NAACP Theatre Awards, marking their first significant public appearance since Majors' April sentencing. The couple, who began dating during Majors' domestic abuse trial, looked united as they walked the red carpet at the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles on June 3.

Their relationship became public in May 2023, and they first appeared on the red carpet together at the African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Special Achievement Awards Luncheon in March 2023. They also attended the NAACP Image Awards later that month.

Majors, formerly a Marvel star, faced a tumultuous legal battle over a domestic incident with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. In December 2023, he was found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment. However, he was acquitted of third-degree assault and second-degree aggravated harassment.



Following the verdict, Majors was sentenced on April 8, 2024, to one year in an "in-person batterers" intervention program in Los Angeles. The incident, which occurred in March 2023 in New York City, involved allegations of assault leading to Majors' arrest.

An NYPD spokesperson told PEOPLE, "The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition."

Despite maintaining his innocence, Majors faced significant repercussions, losing multiple deals and professional associations, including with Marvel Studios and the U.S. Army. His attorney, Priya Chaudhry, asserted his complete innocence, suggesting he was the victim of an altercation.

Throughout the legal proceedings, Meagan Good supported Majors, attending several of his court appearances. Good's sister, La'Myia Good, expressed support for the couple, emphasizing their commitment to "love and positivity."

Good, who finalized her divorce from DeVon Franklin in June 2022, has had a challenging journey, balancing personal and professional transitions. Her sister remarked on her resilience and ongoing endeavors in her career.
