Doja Cat dazzles fans with star-studded set at Summer Jam
Doja Cat and Busta Rhymes joined forces at Hot 97's Summer Jam, surprising fans and delivering an unforgettable performance. The Grammy winner's set at the 30th annual hip-hop festival featured additional special guests, including Gunna and A$AP Ferg, creating a full-circle moment of mutual admiration.

The collaboration between Doja Cat and Busta Rhymes was a highlight of the event. Doja, 28, wowed the crowd with her dynamic performance, which included hits like "Demons" and "Paint the Town Red." Her set at Belmont Park's UBS Arena on June 2 culminated with Busta joining her on stage. Together, they performed a medley of classics, including "New York Shit," "Ante Up," and Busta's iconic "Look at Me Now" verse.



Fans were thrilled to see Gunna and A$AP Ferg join the set as well. Gunna performed "fukumean," while Ferg previewed a new single and energized the audience with "Plain Jane."


Doja Cat has previously expressed her admiration for Busta Rhymes, calling him a "pioneer" in a 2022 ELLE cover story and praising his fashion sense in a 2023 Hot Ones interview. Busta, in turn, has shown appreciation for Doja, reposting a clip of her praise on Instagram last October with the caption: "Thank you Brilliant Mind & Queen. #BLESSED!!"

Other notable performances at Summer Jam included Sexyy Red, French Montana, and a tribute to the late Mister Cee, featuring appearances from Method Man, Redman, and others. This year's Summer Jam continued the tradition of iconic collaborations, reminiscent of JAY-Z bringing out Michael Jackson in 2001 and Nas and 50 Cent sharing the stage in 2014.


Doja Cat's appearance at Summer Jam follows her headlining sets at Coachella in April and her ongoing The Scarlet Tour. Despite controversy over her explicit lyrics, Doja continues to captivate audiences worldwide, cementing her status as a leading force in hip-hop.
