Will Jake Gyllenhaal and Jeanne Cadieu tie the knot soon?

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jake Gyllenhaal, 43, gave a playful response when asked about his marriage plans with longtime girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu.

«I'm supposed to tell The Hollywood Reporter that?» the actor joked. «I'm not going to give you timing.»

However, Gyllenhaal revealed, «I think we all get into that space of work, work, work, and for a long time my career took precedence, but I'm at a point in my life where I realize that family really is the only thing that matters to me.»



The Donnie Darko star and French model, linked romantically since 2018, might have wedding bells in their future, especially given their shared love for cooking. Gyllenhaal shared their recent dessert tasting at KCRW's Good Food PieFest & Contest in Los Angeles, a delightful day they planned well in advance.

«We got tickets a month and a half early,» Gyllenhaal said. «I was like, �Babe, we can go! We can go to the pie contest!'»

Gyllenhaal and Cadieu's private romance

The couple, who debuted on the red carpet in September 2021 at the premiere of The Lost Daughter, directed by Gyllenhaal's sister Maggie, prefer to keep their relationship out of the spotlight. Gyllenhaal mentioned on The Howard Stern Show that Cadieu doesn't enjoy "all the other stuff" that comes with fame, which he adores.

"My sister grabbed her, pulled her on that red carpet, which I think neither of us are really inclined to, you know, go on � even me," Gyllenhaal admitted. "And to be there to support my sister was what we're there to do and I was like, 'Oh yeah, this is family.'"

Gyllenhaal called his relationship with Cadieu "wonderful" during a chat with PEOPLE in September 2023. "We are private, but I guess we are who we are," he said. "We're just living our lives. We always have.»

«And I love that people are interested,» he added, «but at the same time, it's like what's ours is ours.»

If Gyllenhaal and Cadieu do decide to marry, it promises to be a private and intimate affair, much like their relationship.
