Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's unusual way of expressing love

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have taken their relationship to a whole new level by sharing vials of each other's blood.

In the May 30 episode of The Kardashians on Hulu, Kourtney Kardashian, the 45-year-old wellness mogul, revealed to her sister Khloe the unusual token of affection she has for Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. The revelation came while Khloe was flipping through Kourtney's romantic scrapbook, filled with pictures, memorabilia, and one particularly unique element.

Kourtney asked, «Did you see my blood vial in there?» to which a surprised Khloe responded, «What? No.» Kourtney confirmed the vial of blood was indeed from her veins, adding, «Just to, like, have each other's.»


This isn't the first time Kourtney has shared such a token. In 2021, she posted an Instagram story featuring a test tube filled with Barker's blood, labeled with his name and birthdate, accompanied only by a black heart emoji.

Khloe expressed her mixed feelings about the gesture, comparing it to the famous blood vials exchanged by Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie. In her private confessional, Khloe admitted, «It's very, like, Billy Bob Thornton of them. In my every minute of the day, do I want to be like, harnessing a tube of blood? Not for me. But that's what makes the world go round. We're all different.»


This romantic gesture is not unique to Kourtney and Travis. Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, and Megan Fox also shared a similar bond. In 2021, Fox gave Kelly a necklace with a vial of her blood before she left to film a movie. On Ellen DeGeneres's talk show, Kelly revealed, «I mean, some people give a handkerchief to their partner. She gave me her DNA.»

Fox and Kelly took their connection even further by drinking each other's blood «for ritual purposes only,» as Fox explained on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy. Although their engagement has reportedly ended, their unique bond remains a notable example of unconventional romance.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker continue to showcase their unique and passionate love, proving that for some couples, love truly knows no bounds.
