Spotify has announced another price hike for its music streaming service.

Spotify has announced its second price hike within a year, with new monthly subscriptions now costing $12 in the US. Existing subscribers will notice the increase starting in July.

The new pricing details include a $2 increase for Duo and a $3 hike for Family subscriptions. This follows earlier price adjustments in Australia and the UK this year. Last July, Spotify raised its US price from $10 to $11 and introduced 15 hours of audiobooks per month. These "free" audiobooks join existing features like podcasts and the annual Wrapped summary. The company is rumored to be considering a cheaper package that excludes audiobooks.

Spotify remains the leading music streaming service globally, boasting 615 million users, including 239 million subscribers. Apple Music is reportedly second, though Apple doesn't disclose its subscriber numbers.
